UPDATES….

Parents,Sorry if it seems as if I have been out of the loop. Well….actually I have been.

Ryan placed 19th on 1 meter and 15th on 3 meter at Senior Nats. Decent, but he really wanted to final on 3 meter. Oh well, so it goes!!!

We did have 4 divers qualify for the Age Group Nationals which is being held in DC. (Bryan Campoli, Kenny Hamilton, Julie Doran, & Ryland Jones). However, with our pool shut down, and the National meet being so late, (August 13th to the 15th) I am not so sure we would be able to train effectively and then head up to DC and have a good meet. I did talk to Drew at Duke before Seniors, but their pool shuts down this week as well. The timing is not good. I will keep in touch with those divers and see if anything pans out.

Our pool is getting drained tomorrow. How long we will be without a pool is not known yet. Depends on what they have to do. Hopefully, it will be up and running on the 2nd of September, but we may have to wait longer. I am a realist, and planning on the 15th of September. The pool has not been drained/cleaned/worked on in about 5 years, so it’s about due. They could not do it last summer due to the drought. CH was not able to give up 1,000,000 gallons of water.

That being said, some of you may be out at the farm diving. I will try to get out there this weekend if I can. More importantly, I do not want the THD divers doing nothing for the next 5/6 weeks. I will look at my schedule and see if we can possibly start dryland in mid-August to keep everyone in shape. What will entail as far as the schedule, I am not sure. But I will let you know. Possibly have two groups come in during the afternoons or mornings. I want to manage my schedule as well.

I will keep you posted. If you need anything else let me know. I will figure out a time to have our end of the year banquet too.
