CONCESSIONS

Parents,

We have a couple of opportunities to work concessions over the next 2 weeks to earn money for the club.

I hope there is not a perceived notion that all of our fund-raising money goes to Greensboro to help pay pool rent.  Part of this money does go towards that, but also there are many expenses beyond pool rent at Greensboro.  It is THD’s turn to buy a diving board this summer.  The UNC swimming and diving team buys 3 boards, we are responsible for one.  The boards run close to $3,200.00 now a days.   Please keep in mind that the majority of the wear and tear of our equipment comes from the age group divers not the college kids.

Other expenses include pool rent at UNC that I have to pay monthly, paying for awards for our banquet, paying coaches, dinners, etc.  Travel costs for meets are usually a big one, but having the competition meets this spring and summer close help as well.  Also, with a new coach coming in, it will be nice to have a decent amount of money set aside for him or her, so they do not walk into an empty bank when they start.

That being said, we need EVERYONE to chip in to work concessions regardless if your child is a beginner, HS, or JO diver.  Please look at the times attached to this link and sign up.
