Banquet & Dryland
Parents….
We have a mild hurricane coming which will do no more than bring us a lot of rain and some wind. The banquet is still on for Sunday at 1:00. It’s supposed to clear up by then. Also, make sure your child bring their suits so they can swim and dive before we eat and give out the awards. The times for dryland training are set. I will be @ Duke with the UNC divers from 3:00 to 5:00. Dryland training for the age groupers will be from 6:00 to 7:30. This is Monday through Friday. You can come as often as you life regardless if you are a beginner diver or JO. Jon Fox will be helping out as well.
The cost for dryland training will be $80.00 for the month that includes when we get into the water. The pool is scheduled to be filled the week of the 15th, with practice starting on the 22nd. It’s a week later than I had hoped for, but the caulk has to dry, and it has a three week curing time frame on it. By mid-week of the 15th, once there is water in the pool we can get on deck and start trampoline work and dryboard work. Due to safety reasons, no one is allowed on deck with the pool empty. If you decide to wait until the week of the 22nd to start diving, the cost will be $60.00 for the month if you are JO, and $45.00 for the month if you are a beginner. Sorry the pool is not up and ready sooner, but the conditioning and dryland will be great for the divers. Finally, if you know you are going to join THD or have already joined, get on the yahoogroups site and search for THD so you can get yourself registered to received our emails about the program. Emailing is the most effective form of communicating.
Best for now…
Kevin
